Scott Cepicky sold out Maury County Public Schools

We have all heard discussions of the heavily flawed TISA bill of Gov. Bill Lee and championed in his committee by Scott Cepicky, but let’s breakdown an area that people pretend they got right and that is in college and career technical education or CTE. I teach CTE courses here in Maury County at Culleoka Unit School, and the package robs school systems like Maury County of millions of dollars because of our Unit Schools. Without specifying how they demonstrate the usage of this innovation money, school systems receive $500,000 per middle school, $1,000,000 per high school and $500,000 per Unit School. Sounds great to many at first blush, but why does Culleoka, Hampshire, and Santa Fe get middle school funding when if they were 2 separate buildings each they would have received $1.5M for our county? Looking at Cepicky’s work against us here his legislation cost Maury County Public Schools at least $1.5M and up to $4.5M in revenue for our students. He doesn’t care about our schools, he is actively attacking public education and stands against us at every turn. Tennessee Republicans drove home 12 bills that did nothing for us, and here is another example of Scott Cepicky selling us out.
